Vector Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) flag
The Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) flag is a symbolic representation of the countries that have formed a free trade agreement. It features a blue field with six white stars in a circle, representing the six signatories of the agreement. The stars are also said to represent the idea of a unified Europe, with each star representing a country and the circle bespeaking the idea of unity. The blue background of the flag is said to represent the clear, blue skies of Europe. The CEFTA agreement was signed in December 1992, in the city of Krakow, Poland, by six signatories: Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Slovenia. The agreement was the first step towards the development of a free trade area in Central and Eastern Europe and was the foundation for the Central European Free Trade Agreement. The flag of the Central European Free Trade Agreement is a symbol of regional cooperation and integration, and serves to remind member states of the shared commitment to free trade and economic prosperity. The flag is a reminder that, despite the political and economic differences between member states, the CEFTA agreement remains a powerful symbol of unity and cooperation.
